Roger Redman Obituary

Roger L Redman, 79, of Osceola, passed away peacefully in his home on May 18, 2022, surrounded by his family. Roger was born on January 31, 1943, in South Bend to the late Homer and Mary Redman. He married the love of his life, Judith Redman, on August 16, 1959.

Roger loved his family and cherished any opportunity to spend time with them, give advice, and to watch them grow into unique, loving, and successful individuals. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, watching the Chicago Cubs, and exploring the wilderness of the United States and Canada.

Roger lived much of his lifetime in Osceola, where he took pride in his family, and the amusement business that he established and ran for 40 years. He was a familiar face in many local businesses and was an Exalted Ruler of Elks Club in South Bend from 1974-1975. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Elkhart.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Redman of 62 years; his three children, Tammy Redman (Ted), Laurie Dill (Tim), and Roger Redman Jr. (ex-wife, Jodi); grandchildren, Josh Redman (Bridgette), Brandon Redman (Kristina), Teddy Salamon (Mandy), Tyler Salamon (Paige), Oscar Redman, and Savannah Dill; great grandchildren, Joycee Redman, Hank Redman, Annabelle Redman, Scarlett Redman, Dylan Redman, and Paisley and Miles Salamon. He is also survived by his boxer, Gus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Mary Redman; his sister, JoAnn Redman; and his seven brothers, Don, Arthur, Bill, Bob, Chuck, June, and Terry.
