Stephen Harold Maggart

Stephen Harold Maggart, 74, passed away at his residence in South Bend on the evening of Saturday, November 28, 2020. Stephen was born on September 15, 1946 to the late Harold A. and Myrtle (Stevens) Maggart.

Stephen was a life-long resident of South Bend and was self-employed as a handyman, as well as working in auto and home repair. After graduating from high school, Stephen enlisted in the US Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a father of three, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather. Stephen will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Stephen Maggart is survived by his children, Christa Shahan of Missouri, Ruth (Mike) Toner of South Bend and Nathan Fitz of South Bend; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Dawn Morris of South Bend; brother Phil Van Denvossche of South Bend; as well as a host of extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Maggart.
