Phillip J. Snyder, age 88, residing in Mishawaka, Indiana passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, IN. He retired in 1990 after 26 years of service with AM General Corporation.
Phillip was born on January 18, 1929 in Grant County, IN to the late John and Iva (Narragon) Snyder. On July 16, 1976, in Mishawaka, IN he married Ethel J. Goodsell Snyder, who preceded him in death on April 6, 1995.
Phillip is survived by three daughters, Catherine A. (Steve) Prange of Niles, MI, Bobbie Jo Dash of Cassopolis, MI and Brenda L. (Brad) Craven of Taveres, FL; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and his sister, Marty Brink of South Bend. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Malisa Hanyzewski; sister, Phyllis Summerfield; and three brothers, Ralph, Gerald and Clarence Snyder.
Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, South Bend and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. Private burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
