SOUTH BEND – Cass C. Kosik, 94, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Southfield Village, South Bend.  Cass was born on December 17, 1920 in South Bend to the late Konstanty Koszyk and Elizabeth (Rupik) Koszyk and has been a lifelong resident of this area.  Cass proudly served our country in the United States Navy and was stationed at the Naval Air Station, Norfolk, VA.  Following his service to our country, he worked as a salesman for Inlander Steindler Paper Company for 25 years, retiring in 1983.

On October 14, 1944 in South Bend, he was united in marriage to Winifred D. (Kober) Kosik, who preceded him in death on March 25, 2010. They were married for 65 years.  

Cass is survived by his sons, Kenneth Kosik of South Bend, Richard (Rosanne) Kosik of Plymouth, MI, and Robert (Terri) Kosik of South Bend; four grandchildren, Emily, Kristin, Scott, and Justin; seven great-grandchildren, Logan, Dylan, Everett, Tyler, Jackson, Emelia, and Benjamin.  He is also survived by his sister, Alice Ciesielski of Portage, IN.  Cass was the last surviving son of Konstanty and Elizabeth Koszyk.

Private Entombment Services will be held at the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Granger.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.  Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
