David Leslie Riemland

November 22, 1968 – July 6, 2015

MISHAWAKA – David Leslie Riemland, 46, residing in Mishawaka, Indiana passed away at 6:00 AM Monday, July 6, 2015 at his mother’s home.

David was born on November 22, 1968 in Mishawaka, IN to Robert G. Riemland and Vivian (Filley) Riemland.  He was a graduate of Mishawaka High School.  He was known as a very loving and caring person, a wonderful father and the greatest grandfather. David loved his family and would do anything for them.  He had the kindest heart.  David adored his grandson, Arvani, who was the light of his life.  For the past three to four years, he took care of his mother, being a wonderful caregiver.  David was a big fan of NASCAR, especially race car driver Tony Stewart.  He enjoyed cooking, especially grilling, and also enjoyed listening to country music and rock music.  He loved going fishing, playing horseshoes, and was quite the handyman, with the ability to fix almost anything.

David was preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Riemland; and his three brothers, Randy Lee Riemland, Bobby George Riemland, and Kirk Carter.  He is survived by his mother, Vivian Riemland of Mishawaka; daughter, Bobbie Lynn Riemland of Mishawaka; grandson, Arvani Glover Herndon; and sisters, Pamela Sue Queen of Oklahoma and Deborah Kay LaPlace of Mishawaka.

Memorial services for David Leslie Riemland will be at 6:00 PM Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615, where friends may visit with the family two hours prior (4:00 PM till 6:00 PM).  Memorial contributions may be made to Palmer Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
