Donald Charles Bromeling, Sr.

Donald Charles Bromeling, Sr., age 68, of South Bend, IN, passed away at Memorial Hospital on Friday, September 18, 2015.  Donald was born on May 22, 1947 in St. Paul, MN to the late Donald Kenneth and Mary Lou (Hensley) Bromeling.   On July 4, 1970, in South Bend, IN he married Susan (Helm) Bromeling, who survives.

In addition to his wife of 45 years, Donald is survived by his daughter, Donna (Gregory) Bethany; his sons, Donald Bromeling, Jr. (Tammy Robby) and Cliff Bromeling (Annette); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Debbie Surpus.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Mitzi Hulitt; and his brother-in-law, John Surpus. 

Donald served in the Navy and was employed by RACO for 30 years.

Services will take place at Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel; 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2015.  Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Contributions in memory of Donald Bromeling may be made to Key Bank; For the Benefit of Donald C.
