Jean Lee (King) Ridout, 85, residing in Mishawaka, Indiana passed away at 3:05 PM Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
Jean was born on June 29, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Clayton Benjamin King and Florence (Benjamin) King. Before returning to the Mishawaka area, Jean previously lived in Elkhart, Indiana, in Florida and Arizona, and in South Bend. The love of Jean’s life was raising her children and being a homemaker.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Vickie S. Batson of Mishawaka, IN, Deborah (David) Ranson of London, OH, Pamela J, Bishop of Lebanon, OH; son, Michael Allen (Bonnie) Ridout of Lebanon, OH; eight grandchildren, Michele Brock, Zachary Batson, Matthew (Crystal) Ranson, Dustin Ridout, Amber Ridout, Brittney Ridout, Nicole Brown, and Jeremiah Knight; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Gray and Joyce Schoen, both of Cincinnati, OH.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Florence King; son, Thomas Clayton Ridout; sister, Shirley Corsmeier; and brother, LeRoy Weingart.
Funeral services for Jean will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, June 15, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. Graveside services will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to services on Monday. Memorial contributions may be offered to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 East 91st Street Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46209.
