Linda "Lynn" Brumfield

Linda Marie Brumfield (lovingly known as Lynn), 56, passed away Wednesday December 6, 2017. Lynn was born June 24, 1961 to Willie Lee Reaves and Jessie Bell Brumfield in Chicago, IL. She attended Calumet High School in Chicago, IL; she later went on to attend college at Ivy Tech University in South Bend, IN. She was known for her humor and ability to make others laugh. Lynn loved spending time with her family, especially on holidays and other special occasions. Lynn will truly be missed by her family and friends.

Those that Lynn leaves behind to cherish her memory includes her mother, Jessie Bell Brumfield of South Bend, IN, her only son and pride and joy, Iyon (Amber) Tyrese Brumfield of South Bend, IN; her grandchildren: Dar’Iyon Harbor, Johntae Powell, Courtney O’Neal, Tyr’Iyon Howell, Jayon Willis and her great-grandson Giovanni LeKealon Belmares, hersisters: Marsha Farmer of Daytona Beach, FL, LaVera Brumfield-Gayle of South Bend, IN, and Dianne Jennings of West Helena, Arkansas and her aunt Ruth Reese and uncle Anthony Watkins of South Bend, IN. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, including special cousins Shamika Taylor, Tiara Wright and Christopher “Deacon” Wright.

Lynn was preceded in death by her father, Willie Lee Reaves, aka “Preston”, her grandmother JoAnna “Granny” Watkins, her grandfather, Albert Watkins and her siblings: Willie Earnest Lee Reaves, Robert Earl Brumfield, Micheal Brumfield, Sheila Jennings, Marlon Jennings, Melvirta Allmon, Deloris Collins and her grandson Damari Brumfield.

Services for Lynn will be held on Friday, December 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel MB Church, 1620 S St Joseph St, South Bend. Friends may call on the family for one hour prior to service at the church.
