Linda Marie (Peters) Peters

Linda Marie Peters, 61, of South Bend, IN passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Memorial Hospital.  Linda was born on October 29, 1955 in South Bend to the late Jack D. “Bill” and Bernice M. (Shafer) Peters.  On February 2, 2002 in South Bend, she married Guy M. Riggs, who survives.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her daughter Emily Riggs of Mishawaka; her sons Andrew Peters and Joshua (Lindee) Riggs of South Bend; her step-grandson, Dean; her father-in-law, Gene Riggs of Lafontaine, IN and her brother, Jack Peters of South Bend.

Linda was a graduate of Adams high school and was a cook at the Osteopathic Hospital for 12 years and then at Madison Center for 15 years. She enjoyed all her animals, flowers, gardening, ponds and fish and everything about nature.  She enjoying spending her spare time on the computer researching anything of interest.

Funeral services for Linda will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN.  Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
