SOUTH BEND – Richard “Rick” Stambaugh, 47, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away at 2:19 AM Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

Rick was born on November 17, 1967 in Moline, Illinois to Norris Stambaugh and Shirley Stambaugh. 

On October 9, 2014 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Rick was united in marriage to Jerry Lawson, who survives.  Rick worked in quality control at Nyloncraft Incorporated in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Rick is survived by his husband, Jerry Lawson, of South Bend; mother, Shirley Stambaugh of Moline, IL; sisters, Carmen Manley of Milan, IL, and Connie Spears of Bettendorf, IL; nephews, Derrek Miller of Moline, IL, David Estes of Moline, IL, Terry Stambaugh of Rock Island, IL, and George Linser of Moline, IL.  Rick was preceded in death by his father, Norris Stambaugh; and two sisters, Jean Anne Liaser and Rosealie Stambaugh.

Memorial Services for Rick will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.  Palmer Funeral Home - River Park Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
