2 Timothy 4:6-8.
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, my righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Rest well my precious friend until that glorious day when we are all reunited in our Lord's House. When Jesus shall return with a shout and all who sleep in Christ will rise and be caught up with Him and God will let his children cast off the coils of death and we shall be clothed in immortality. On the day that God will wipe away all tears and we will weep no more for the grave is forever conquered and victory will be ours in Christ through his ransomed blood that they who believe will be saved by His grace.
Rita, it was an honor and a pleasure to work beside you for so many years. I count it a blessing that you trusted me as your friend. You were the personification of Jesus' sacrificial love each time you stepped out into the nursing unit. You were the kindest, most humble women who lived your faith in the way you took on the tasks at hand as you worked so hard caring for the sick. The wise lessons and examples you taught through actions will never leave my heart. My respect and gratitude to your beautiful family who supported your work as a Nurse. They lended you to a community of patients and their families as they managed without you at home while you worked so many long shifts for so many years. Being a nurses family often takes the same kind of grit that it takes for we families of Military service men and women. It is more of a sacrifice than others can realize. You were a bright beacon of light that lead is through dark nights and a consistent calm in any storm at work. And as kind as you were you would not hesitate to give us the hypothetical " kick in the pants" if we needed it to help us be successful and better at what we did. Always a teacher if asked but never a know it all. You spoiled us all by feeding us with all the wonderful food you generously prepared and served out of the bounty of your heart. I will never forget you. May God bless and watch over your loved ones as they continue on their journey. You will never be forgotten or far from my mind Rita.
Much love always.
