I was very sad to learn of Ralph's passing. I live in La Porte...went to San Pierre Grade and High School with Ralph.
My children, Sherry, Mark, and Johnny, Jr. all knew his family.
Having moved to Michigan City in the 50's, sort of lost tract of them. I attended the San Pierre Alumni several years ago and heard that Ralph was there; however, I was never able to meet with him as had to leave before the social hour.
I lost my son, Johnny, at the age of 21 in 1976. Ralph was so kind to write me a letter (which I still have) when he learned of the death of my son. I shall always cherish his kindness.
I am sorry I never got to meet his present wife and offer my deepest sympathy to her and to the family. God bless you all. marytannehill@comcast.net
