David Charles Mikesell

David Charles Mikesell, 68, of South Bend, IN passed away at 6:58 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 at Hospice House, South Bend.  He was born on November 29, 1946 in South Bend, IN to late Henry R. and Betty N. (Holley) Mikesell.  On April 26, 1969 in South Bend, IN he married Irene (Hughes) Mikesell.

Mr. Mikesell is survived by his wife, Irene Mikesell; two daughters, Lynn Mikesell and Tracy (Jay) Burks; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Derek, Merle and David; sister, Barbara Mikesell; brother, James (Ruth)  Mikesell and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mr. Mikesell drove a truck driver for over forty years, working for Tucker Freight Lines and several other companies.  He served his country honorably for the United States Marine Corp.  He was a "special commodities relocation engineer" whom enjoyed fishing, drag racing, tinkering with lawn mowers and cars.  He loved spending time with his grandkids and family. 

There will be no services or visitation.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family.
