Devon J. Base

Devon J. Base, a resident of Sebring, Florida for the past eleven years, formerly of South Bend, was born April 28, 1930 and went home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2015.

He retired from Indiana Michigan Power in South Bend. He was a Past Master of Lakeville Lodge #353, F. & AM., Past President of St. Joseph County Past Masters Association, and Past Patron of Lakeville Order of Eastern Star #479.

He is survived by his loving wife, Melba, daughters, Mary (Rich) Sigler and Marsha Base, brother, Virgil Base, and sisters, Ardis Base and Leona (John) Strickland.

A masonic memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM Thursday, May 28, at the Lakeville Masonic Lodge, 318 N. Mangus Drive, Lakeville. The family will receive friends following the service. Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville is assisting the family.
