I got to know Don as a League Secretary at Chippewa Bowl and just learned of his passing last week. He was a great, personable person and manager of the day-to-day operation. Very easy to like, talk to, and work with. He always greeted me by name, which was much appreciated. From the new scoring system to new pins to new lane resurfacing to new exterior repairs, he did more for that place in two years than other owner/operators did in 20. Bowlers young and old will enjoy it for many years to come. My deep sympathies to Don's family and friends.
