I remember all the way back to my Aunt Kate dating this guy with all his own nieces + nephews. I went from having my mom's baby sister all to myself to having to share her. Well, what a deal that turned out to be! Uncle John was fabulous - unfailingly patient and kind and with those laughing blue eyes that made you laugh right back. And because of him I got 5 cousins to babysit who taught me so much (trench warfare, admittedly) about kids that I still use today with my therapy kiddos. I loved holidays with him around - unflappable no matter what drama was afoot. A wonderful man and I am not surprised God got tired of waiting around for him to show up at the front gates.
Question: Did Dorothy have fudge waiting for him?

We are sad to hear the news of Mr. Brothers passing. I (Rebecca) am a former JOYS gymnast and always remember Mr. Brothers helping out Mrs. B and he was always smiling and super nice. My husband (Omar) bowled against his team several times while on a bowling league. I remember introducing Omar to Mr. Brothers and telling him all about gymnastics memories. Our prayers and condolences go out to the entire family. We love you guys. Many prayers from our family and the Bandera family as well.

John was a wonderful person and always had a smile for everyone. He loved the sport of bowling and enjoyed his years working with so many bowlers and with the members of the Indiana State BA Board. John will be missed by many.

God Bless

John was a very loving sweet funny individual who will be very missed at the South Bend Mishawaka auto auction. He always used to get me CDs out of cars but always withheld the country western ones cause he liked country western too. His bubbly personality and giving spirit will be missed may he rest in peace!!!!!
