Joseph Bryan Harlow, 58, residing in South Bend, passed away Tuesday morning, November 29, 2016 in his home. He was born January 7, 1958 in Altoona, PA to the late Joseph L. and Ann E. (Rosensteel) Harlow.
Bryan is survived by his sister, Joann Harlow of South Bend; brothers, David A. (Cindy) Harlow of Rochester, IN and Timothy G. (Nancy) Harlow of South Bend; nieces, Autumn, Chelsea and Kaitlyn Harlow; and nephews, Christopher, Brandon and Tyler Harlow.
Bryan loved playing practical jokes on everyone, which brought out his infectious grin. He was a huge Notre Dame fan and loved winning his dollar bets on the games from his family. He loved biscuits and gravy from Bob Evans with a blueberry pancake on the side, which always surprised the waitresses, that he could eat so much.
He loved being involved in all the activities at Logan, the dances, bowling and even playing the wizard in The Wizard of Oz. He was an avid participant in the Special Olympics and especially loved running and swimming. Bryan looked forward to going to camp every summer, and wouldn't go anywhere without his word find book and a pencil. He will be truly missed by many.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am Saturday, December 3, 2016 in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. Bryan will be laid to rest privately at a later date in Cedar Grove Cemetery, next to his parents. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, December 2, 2016 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend.
Expressions of sympathy in memory of Bryan may be donated to Logan Center, 2505 E. Jefferson Blvd, South Bend, IN 46615.
