I'll always remember your smile that could light up a room--and the whole library! I loved your jokes! They always brightened my day at work. Centre Township Branch Library misses you! Godspeed, Lyle, send us a joke now and then.

I always enjoyed seeing Lyle and Millie walking in our neighborhood, but not together as Lyle could not keep up with Millie. Lyle would take frequent short breaks in his walks to rest, and to visit with all of the neighbors and their dogs. He was an intelligent, thoughtful, fun guy, and I enjoyed our conversations. He is already missed. But, I will continue to look for Millie out walking. Lyle, you are in God's hands now. Can you believe it?

Good morning,
A flood of memories is coming at me as I read Lyle's obituary. My parents, Ed and Mary Etta Rees, were very dear friends of Millie and Lyle. They celebrated life with each other on New Year's Eve and the Fourth of July every year as well as many dances and other events at the Elks Club over the years. Ed and Mary Etta were also guests in Maui a few times. My parents adored Lyle and Millie and never had anything but positive, fun and loving words to say about them. It was when they were with Millie and Lyle that I saw the silly side of Mary Etta and Ed. Millie and Lyle were generous to me also, leaving me extremely large tips at my various waitressing jobs through college. They also hosted an engagement party for my husband, Mark, and I many years ago. Thank you for the great memories and do not let your hearts be troubled.

Sincerely,
Nan Rees Mullaney
