Marilyn J. Douglas Jones

Marilyn J. Douglas Jones, 74, of South Bend, IN passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Creekside Village in Mishawaka, IN.  She was born on November 28, 1941 in South Bend, IN.  Marilyn was preceded her in death by her mother, Florence Wiltrout Brown; and by her life partner, Steve Annis on April 12, 2016.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Michelle (Tony) Hamilton of Corpus Christi, TX, Kristina Speelman of South Bend, Kelly Jones of South Bend, Martin Swinferd of Tulsa, OK; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Marilyn is also survived by her sisters, Sharon Richardson of South Bend and Patricia Garcia of Kenosha, WI; and her brothers, Richard Brown of Logansport, IN and Fredrick “Butch” Brown of Edwardsburg, MI. 

Marilyn was a member of American Legion Auxiliary.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Faith United Methodist Church, 802 E. Ewing, (corner of Ewing & High) South Bend, 46614.  Rev. Larry Chrisman, pastor of the church will officiate. Friends may visit with the family following the service. 

Private burial will take place at Bremen Cemetery in Bremen, IN.
