Please accept my late condolences for your loss. Mary K. Eder (known to me as Mrs. Eder) was my 3rd grade teacher at Whittier School in Oak Park. She left during that school year to have her baby, Alicia. I have such fond memories of her as my teacher. Her warmth and kindness was apparent in her generous smile. I’ll never forget it.
Some of our moms arranged for a surprise baby shower for her that was held in the classroom.
Then a friend and I went to visit her and new baby at her house in River Forest.
I like to think that she inspired me to become a music teacher. Her love of teaching was passed on to her students.
God bless her family.
Love, Anne
