I was just thinking about my late Father Vic and his passion for Avanti and decided to look up Mike. I ended up here with great sadness in my heart. My Dad thought the world of Mike and I remember how nice he always was to me as a child. God bless all of you and I’m so sorry. He was way too young.

Mike i always felt life was in the fast lane with cars of beauty created by you to make this world a better place. God has taken you to Heaven to make more. My time spent with you made me Proud and happy when i spoke with you about cars it just made life a whole new meaning. I was saddened to learn of Michael's passing. He epitomized what it means to be adventurous and what it means to be entrepreneurial. Though I knew his father much better, Michael's love for the Avanti provided us with a common interest. His commitment to keeping the car alive was to his credit.

We have MANY memories of Mike and family. We have talked about you many times and prayed. Those memories will continue through our life time. I remember my many talks with Mike concerning salvation, he always expected the discussion. May the Lord give you a rest during this time.

I am so very sad with you for your loss. Michael was my second cousin. His dad, Leonard and I became quite close ...Leonard's last few years. He shared by phone much with me of how much he loved his family and how proud he was of both his son and his daughter. We would laugh and talk and then we would pray together . He shared how he wished he had known our precious LORD earlier in life ....but was so thrilled of his new found peace and joy .......and I am positiely certain if we could speak directly to Micheal ...he would be so at home and happy with his spirit enjoying and rejoicing with both his heavenly Father and his earthly mother and father.....I will continue to pray for you all..

I have been asked to offer the condolences of the entire Chicagoland Chapter of the Avanti Owners Association International Inc. to the Kelly Family on the passing of Mike. He was truly one of a kind. A unique man in a standard world. His single handed resurrection of Avanti from the ashes not once but twice serves as an inspiration and evidence of a can do spirit that relished challenges. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Rest in Peace Mike you were loved and admired.
