Remembering Terry as kids at Grandma Engeman's. The music teachers in Fort Wayne simply raved about him. My sympathy to Susie and kids. Rest in peace, Terry.

Susie and family: So sorry to hear of your loss. Terry was such a wonderful guy, always upbeat and helpful. I have memories of when you were in Fort Wayne on Columbia and us getting together and eating Coney Dogs! That has been a lot of years. Savor all the memories of your life together. Ron has been gone since 1985. I have been fortunate enough to find someone else to share life with since I was pretty young when he passed away at 50. Sorrow is a fleeting emotion, but love is infinite. In Sympathy, Jan (Best) Richmond

Please accept my deepest condolence for your loss, a loss indeed to the community. Mr. Engeman was my weekly private percussion instructor for 11 years and high school band teacher at Riley. He had the patience of job. He had integrity. He was a solid drummer too. Thank you Mr. Engeman for being a part of my life.

Jonathon and I are going to miss not only a very sweet and funny man but a wonderful percussion teacher and his room full of "magical" instruments that Jonathon was just beginning to explore. We are so glad that we had the opportunity to spend time with Terry in his studio and grateful that he shared a bit of his vast knowledge with a delighted boy. Terry's enthusiasm for and enjoyment of music was absolutely infectious and inspiring, we will miss his playful personality and are grateful for the time that we spent with him over the last year. Our heartfelt condolences to Sue and the Engeman family, we know he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

I was just thinking about Mr. Engeman (and Mr. DeShone) the other day. Mr. Engeman assisted Mr. DeShone when the latter was head band director at Riley High School back in the 1980s. He helped me out when I decided to try out for the Indiana University Marching Hundred. I was a flute player transitioning over to percussion, and Mr. Engeman helped me adapt to the xylophone/bells. I played bells for two years in the Marching Hundred: Thank you, Mr. Engeman!
