Anne Barany Monserez passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Hearth at Juday Creek in Granger, IN. Anne was born on November 18, 1926 to Andrew and Anna (Abraham) Barany of South Bend, IN, both of whom preceded her in death. In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by an infant sister, Anna; her brothers, Andrew, Ernest, Emery, and John Barany, all previously of South Bend; her sister, Mary Birder, previously of Green Bay, WI; her sisters-in-law, Joan Barany and Sue Barany; and her son-in-law, Philip M. Anne found great comfort in her faith and worked diligently to practice what she believed. She loved caregiving, whether it be for her parents, her siblings and their spouses, or her immediate family. She found great fulfillment in the accomplishments of her children. Anne worked diligently and proudly with her husband, Jim, to establish their family business, South Bend Hardware. Her many years of hard work and dedication to it, resulted in its successful longevity. She loved nature and marveled at all God’s creations. She found great joy in designing and developing the landscape of flowering trees, shrubs, bulbs, annuals, and her perennial garden at her home.

Anne enjoyed entertaining, particularly large family gatherings, cooking the children’s favorites, and decorating her home for each seasonal holiday.
