Mary Kathryn Eder

Mary K. Eder, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Sanctuary of St. Paul’s in South Bend, IN. She was born on February 13, 1932 in Chicago, IL, to Donald and Genevive (Rogers) Conlon, both whom preceded her in death.

On June 26, 1965, Mary K. married Francis “Frank” Eder, her loving husband of 52 years. Mary K. is also survived by son, Stephen (Beth) Eder of Granger, IN; three grandchildren, Conlon Eder, Elaine Eder, and James Eder. In addition to her parents, Mary K. was preceded in death by daughter, Alicia Eder, and sister, Claire Motyl.

Mary K. moved to South Bend from River Forest, IL, in 2011.

Mass of Christian Burial for Mary K. will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Sanctuary at St. Paul’s, 3602 S. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN. Rev. Herb Yost, C.S.C., will officiate. A burial at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, IL, will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00pm on Sunday, October 22 at Palmer Funeral Homes—Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN, and also from 10:00-11:00am on Monday, October 23 at Sanctuary at St. Paul’s, prior to services. A luncheon at St. Paul’s will follow Monday services.
