Betty Lou Wallace

Betty Lou Wallace, 94, of South Bend, IN passed away at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa, IN.  She was born on March 26, 1923 in Bremen, IN to the late William and Katie (Long) Enders.  On April 8, 1942 in Plymouth, IN, she was united in marriage to Harold F. Wallace.  They celebrated seventy-three years of marriage prior to his death on June 22, 2015.

Betty is survived by two daughters, Karen Sue (David) Hill and Patricia Kay (David) Powell, both of Mishawaka, IN; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Hill, Brenda Nowak, Shelly (Bob) Klein, Tracey (Bill) Housman, Dave (Kim) Hill, Jr. Brandon Powell, Heather (Lucas) Woody and Blake (Kaileigh) Powell; sixteen great grandchildren, Justin (Kienyn) Nowak, Melissa (Kenny) Nowak, Colton Klein, Kyler Klein, Katie Klein, Chad Housman, Karigan (Eric)Timmins, Kiersten Housman, MaKayla Hill, Makenzie Hill, Kylie Hill, Chandler Hill, Jack Powell, Charlotte Powell, Allison Powell, Phillip Powell and Madison; one great great grandchild and brother, Gene (Helen) Enders of Shelton, IL.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold and sister, Sylvia Enders.

Betty was a lifelong area resident.  She enjoyed quilting and traveling, having been to every state except Alaska.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Coalbush United Methodist Church, 15977 Jackson Road, Mishawaka, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery, Bremen, IN.  Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN.
