Beverly G. Heckman

Beverly G. Heckman, 76, of South Bend, IN passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at her home.   She was born on May 28, 1939 in Plymouth, IN to the late Donald Monroe and Annabelle (Sherer) Kring.

Mrs. Heckman is survived by two daughters, Kandy (John) Grzegorek of Galien, MI and Constance (Robert) Parish of South Bend, IN; son, Anthony Heckman of Mishawaka, IN; seven grandchildren, Sean, Christina, Jennifer, David, Christopher, Lisa and Dustin; fifteen great-grandchildren and brother, Jerry (Joyce) Ellinger of South Bend, IN.  She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Victoria in 1978 and her companion, Fritz in 2015.

Mrs. Heckman was a lifelong area resident.  She worked as an office manager for the Shutter Shoppe.  She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.  She was also a member of the VFW and American Legion Women's Auxiliary; Bowlers Country Club and the Maennerchor Club.  She loved to camp at Wildwood Camp Resort at Painter Lake, Edwardsburg, MI where she had a camper.

Following Beverly's wishes cremation will take place. Friends may visit with the family 5-7 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN.
