Christopher Anthony Krause, Sr., age 46, passed away at 4:30 am, Thursday, April 27, 2017 at his home.

He was born on August 1, 1970 in South Bend, IN remained a lifelong resident.

Christopher is survived by his parents, John B. (Linda) Krause of South Bend and Corinne E. (Clark) Humphrey of Globe, AZ; his girlfriend, Maria Tanksley of South Bend; the mother of his children, Carmen D. Works of South Bend; two sons, Christopher A. Krause, Jr. and Camren D. Krause both of South Bend; his biological father, Maurice L. Lusk of Minneapolis, MN; his siblings, J. Michael (Betsy) Krause of Globe, AZ, Lorinda (David) Ohnesorge of South Bend, Lisa C. Blackford of Williamsburg, VA, James M. (Betty) Krause of Arlington, TX, Jonathan C. (Esa) Krause of Pleasanton, CA, Monique (Larry) Harvell, Jr. of South Bend, Damon (Amanda) Love of South Bend and David Stearns of South Bend; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncle to cherish his memory.  He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Kathy A. Stearns.

Christopher worked for South Bend Waste Management and also for Tru Green. He was an exceptional father.  Christopher enjoyed spending time with his boys, taking them to their games and school activities.  He was a great friend to many and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Palmer Funeral Home-West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN.   Pastor Ray E. Owens of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church South Bend, will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from Noon until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
