Deborah "Debbie" J. (Pendergrass) Williams

Deborah “Debbie” J. Williams, residing in South Bend, IN passed away at 12:30 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at her home at the age of 63 years old.

She was born December 3, 1953 in South Bend, a daughter of Doyle & Frances M. (Hale) Pendergrass, who have both preceded her in death.  She has remained a lifelong resident.  Debbie is survived by her husband, Lawrence Williams; daughters, Tara (Josh) Brown-Miller and Carrie (Adam) Williams of South Bend; son, Lawrence Williams Jr.; grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Anthony and Tawny Brown, Kayla, Jordan and Devin Williams, and Nora Stoutjesdyk; great-grandchildren, Thayah and Landon; brothers and sisters, John Pendergrass of Granger, Clayton Pendergrass of South Bend, Sharon Lodholtz of Granger, Robert (Marlene) Pendergrass of South Bend, Jessie Pendergrass of Norfolk, NE; Vickie (Michael) Eitler of South Bend, Christine Ridenour of Mishawaka, Carol Sage, Larry Pendergrass, and Mary Pendergrass all of South Bend, Richard Pendergrass of South Bend, and Jackie (Tracy) Williams of Mishawaka, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles.

Debbie was preceded in death by three sisters: Judy Carlile, Lois Green and Elaine McMahon; brother, George “GP” Pendergrass and son-in-law, Bennie Brown.

Debbie worked for Wal-Mart in the produce department. She enjoyed reading, eating sweets and listening to country music on B100. Debbie was extremely proud of her Native American heritage. She loved animals especially her dogs Loki, Bubby and Lucky.

Services will be held on August 18, 2017 at 12 p.m., at the Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Rd, South Bend, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service.
