Donald L. Dickey

Donald L. Dickey, 100, passed away at 10:40 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Milton Home.  Donald was born on December 15, 1915 in South Bend, IN to the late Jesse C. and Carrie E. (Walters) Dickey.  On January 18, 1941, Donald married Gearldine Edwards who died in November, 1985.  On August 5, 1986, he married Mabel Lewis who died in September, 2003. 

Donald is survived by his daughter-in-law, Barbara Dickey of South Bend, IN; his stepdaughter, Ruscel Holtzapple of Tulsa, OK; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents and his wives, Donald was preceded in death by his daughters, Donna M. Szoke and Deborah S. Dickey; his son, Doyle Dickey and his brother, Arthur Dickey.

Donald attended Harris Prairie Church of Christ. 

In keeping with Donald’s wishes, there will be no services.  Burial will take place at Richland Center Cemetery, Fulton County, Indiana, at a later date.  Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
