Bonnie, We are so very sorry to hear of Hugh's passing. We will miss seeing him in his cart riding around the island. He was a very nice guy and we always enjoyed spending time talking with him when he came by our place.

La Von and family sorry to hear about Hugh. Had some good times with him and his sense of humor! He did kick my ass a couple of times on the football field boy that was a while back!!! Please except Jan and my condolences.

The loss of a very good friend. Hugh was always there when you needed him. He always brought humor and kindness to any situation. I will always remember sharing the trip from Cape Town to Tortola with Hugh and his Wild Dream.

Even after many years, I remember how happy and friendly Hugh was when we were classmates. Many of us called him Hughie, and at the last class reunion I attended, it still seemed to fit. I liked the fact that he never was pretentious and always was kind. In the posts Hugh put on Facebook, it was clear that there was a lot of love shared with his family. I am hoping that they will find strength in that love in the days ahead.

One of my fondest memories of the Silbermans at the lake was walking around the island during sunset while passing your place. The sun was glowing through your cottage, and I could see Hugh's and Bonnie's silhouette dancing on your front deck. I loved seeing how in love you were and how much you enjoyed life together. That is how I will always remember Hugh.
