SOUTH BEND – James “Jim” B. Landesman, 63, residing in South Bend, passed away at 10:35 AM Monday, March 23, 2015 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

Jim was born on November 24, 1951 in South Bend to the late Ralph and Ruth (Thompson) Landesman and has been a lifelong resident of this area.  He was a 1971 graduate of Jackson High School, South Bend and attended several classes at Ivy Tech.  On May 20, 1972 in Roseland, Indiana, Jim was united in marriage to Betty (Burk) Landesman, who survives.  Jim was a jeweler for many years, loved to go deer hunting and fishing, and was a member of Grace Cathedral, Akron, Ohio.

Along with his loving wife, Betty, he is survived by his daughter, Anna (Patrick) Shaw of Elkhart; sons, Adam Landesman of South Bend, Steve (Phyllis) Landesman of North Liberty, Ken Kembel of South Bend, and Tim (Audi) Kembel of South Bend; three grandchildren, Lindsay Landesman, Ryan Landesman and Codee Kembel.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ruth Landesman, and by his brother, Fred Landesman.

Chapel Services for Jim Landesman will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 2300 Portage Ave, South Bend, IN 46616.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.  Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
