Marie Dalie Joseph, 77, currently residing in Granger, passed away peacefully at home at 2:56 pm Monday, September 18, 2017. She was born December 25, 1939 in Ouanaminthe, Haiti to the late Cimelie Noel and Dumel Joseph.

Marie earned her associate’s degree in education and worked as an art teacher prior to her retirement.

Marie is survived by her husband, Gracia Fleurant; daughters, Danielle Fleurant Ovide (Dr. Frantz Ovide) and Rose Garda Fleurant Edouard (Fedner Edouard); sons, Gensly Joseph Fleurant (Carole Ovide), Maismy Mary Fleurant (Rose Carmelle Charles), Aviol Fleurant (Ludmia Toussaint) and Gracia Fils Fleurant; grandchildren, Carl Henry, Rudjerry, Stanley, Tatchanie and Angelie Fleurant, Thierry Pascal, Cedric Xavier and Fabrinie Carla Fleurant, Taisha Danielle and Cynthia Francine Ovide, Railey, Vianney, Michael, Yanni and Marielle Fleurant, and Garel, Alyssan and Christina Edouard; and one great grandchild, James Fleurant; as well as one sister, Carmen Joseph.

Funeral services for Marie will be held at 8:00 am, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Notre Dame De L’Assumption in Ouanaminthe, Haiti, followed by interment at Ouanaminthe Cemetery. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
