Patricia A. Dean, 68, residing in South Bend, passed away at 1:00 am Saturday, May 9, 2015 in her home. She was born December 12, 1946 in South Bend to Walter A. and Lillian A. (Porogi) Jablonski, and has remained a lifelong area resident.

On October 17, 1963 in Juarez, Mexico, Patricia married Charles P. Dean, who survives. In addition to her loving husband of 51 years, she is survived by her mother, Lillian Jablonski of South Bend; daughters, Charlene A. Bell of Niles, MI, Melissa K. (Greg) Smith of New Carlisle, IN and Valerie N. (Carl) Woodcox of Niles, MI; grandchildren, Joshua C. and Katelynn N. Bell, Tyler D. and Shaylee K. Smith and Lilliana Woodcox; one sister, Cheryl Marshall of South Bend; one brother, Alan Jablonski of South Bend; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Walter Jablonski; son, Craig Matthew Dean; and sister, Vicky Randolph.

Patricia was employed in building services at St. Mary’s College.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Thursday, May 14, 2015 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Pastor Phil Thomas of New Carlisle Wesleyan Church will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 13, 2015 as well as one hour prior to services on Thursday in the funeral home.
