MISHAWAKA – Robert David Walsh, Jr., 59, residing in Mishawaka passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at his home.

Robert was born on August 31, 1955 in South Bend to the late Robert David Walsh, Sr. and Lorraine (Madison) Wolfe and has be a lifelong resident of this area.   He attended Penn High School.  Robert proudly served our country in the United States Air Force as an Air Force Security Police.  Following his years in the service, he worked at Conrail Rail Road as a signal worker.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Tonya Dee (Shannon) Edmondson of Mishawaka; sons, Robert David (Betty) Walsh, III of Goshen and Bruce Lee (Lindsey) Walsh of Hixson, TN; grandchildren, Shashana, Shannon Jr., Allison, Shawn and Liam; sisters, Debra Walsh of Elkhart and Vickie Gilbert of Bristol; brothers, Joe Walsh of Granger, Wilbur Wolfe and Donald Wolfe, both of Mishawaka; and his former wife, Kathy Walsh.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.  Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.
