Roxie J. Lee-Sneed

Roxie J. Lee-Sneed, 81 years old, passed away at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.  Roxie was born on January 30, 1936 in Culver, IN to the late R. J. and Dorothy (Ringle) Lee.  She was united in marriage in 1953 in Texas to Charles Alfred Sneed who preceded in death in 1976.  After the passing of Charles, Roxie had a companion for many years, James Ellis Ford.  He preceded her in death.  Also preceding in death was a son-in-law, Gregory Alan Peterson.

Roxie is survived by her six children, Rochelle (Hector) Moya of South Bend, Diane (David) Lavigne of South Bend, Gina Swann of South Bend, William Ellis (Fiance, Diane Messena) Sneed of South Bend, Richard Wickizer of Mishawaka, and Angela Jean Ford of South Bend; 16 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; two sisters, Margarite (Randall) Clark of Walkerton and Rebecca Jimmerson of Knox; and one brother, Skip Lee of Baldwin, MI.

Roxie retired from P & H Machinery in Walkerton where she was employed for over 25 years.  She enjoyed playing bingo and entertaining.  Most of all, Roxie loved her family and chasing her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Per Roxie’s wishes, there will be no services.  A private service will be held for her family.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services is assisting the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Roxie J. Sneed may be donated to Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka  IN  46545.
