Rozetia Loretta Eddins

Rozetia “Deede” Loretta Eddins, 66, passed away at home on Tuesday, November 21. Rozetia was born to parents, Angelo Trotter and Ollie Mae (Craig) Trotter, on September 26, 1951 in Ohio. She was one of nine children (four sisters and four brothers). She was an amazing artist. She loved to sing, travel, and most importantly, care for her family. Her life was one of giving and sharing as well as patience and kindness. She left an indelible impression upon the hearts and lives of those who were privileged to share life’s journey with her. She went home to be with the Lord on November 21, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her son, Earnest Eddins Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 47 years, Earnest Eddins; her daughter, Anesha Johnson; grandchildren, Joshua Day, Jordan Day, Arthur (“AJ”) Johnson Jr., Arrial Eddins, Monique Eddins, David Earnest Eddins; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Jr and Julian Day; four sisters, Peggy L. Trotter-Richmond and her husband Brady Richmond; Valarie D. Trotter-Wright and her husband John Wright; Lesia Trotter; Garnasia Trotter-Bogus and her husband Jerry Bogus Sr.; four brothers, Angelo Trotter Jr. and wife Patricia Trotter; Tony Trotter; Michael Trotter and wife Jillian Trotter; Glenn Trotter and wife Cathy Erdmann-Trotter; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Rozetia touched the lives of many: Dominick Trotter, Jason Trotter, Aaron Trotter, Darryl Trotter, Jamie Shepherd, Jeffrey Shepherd, Donald McCormick, Kewonah Minor, (the late) John “Boomer” Wright, Montana Wright, Kumit Wright, Kyle Wright, Shonda Trotter (Harris), Tony Trotter Jr., Sherry Trotter, Michael Trotter Jr., Chaina Trotter, Sherlyn Trotter, Jerry Bogus II, Nicholas Bogus, Glenn Trotter Jr., Nakitha Sturdavent, Trinika Esco, Trindquette Esco, Shane Erdmann-Trotter, Deshaun Arnold, Brooke Trotter, Lexi Humbert, and Cortney Wells.

Services for Rozetia will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, December 2 at Palmer Funeral Homes – West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend. Friends may call on the family from 2:00-4:00p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
