Shannon Elizabeth Walker

Shannon Elizabeth Walker, 44 of Walkerton, IN passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Hospice House, South Bend.   She was born on August 30, 1970 in South Bend, IN to Terry Edison and Pamela Bussie.  In 1991 at the North Liberty Church of the Brethren,  she married Joseph Walker.

Shannon is survived by her husband of twenty-four years, Joseph Walker; son, Jarrod Michael; daughter, Aubrie Paige; sisters, Paige (Yale) Edison-Moser, Tammy (Jerry) Hall, Drs. Yvonne (Chris) Cwik and Jackie Grassl; brothers, Adam (Dr. Patty Reddy) Grassl, Kirk (Stacy) Rice and Josh (Lisa) Rice; her parents, Terry (Susan) Edison and Pamela (Douglas) Rice; father and mother-in-law, Eugene (Bertha) Walker; sisters-in-law, Chris (John) Shur, Claudia (Mike) Brenner and Kay Baugher; aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.  She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Ken Demoski and grandparents, Howard (Mary) Bussie and Raymond (Clarice) Naragon.

Shannon was a lifelong area resident.  She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Knape for over twenty years. Shannon enjoyed the outdoors, planting flowers, traveling and reading.  Any family gathering was indeed special occasions.

A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015  at North Liberty Church of Christ, 65225 State Road 23, North Liberty, IN.  Pastor Jody Healy will officiate.  Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church.  Palmer Funeral Home, North Liberty is assisting the family with arrangements.
