Susan Ann Parsons, 62, residing in South Bend, passed away at 9:25 am Friday, October 16, 2015 in Indianapolis, while shopping with her lifelong best friend. She was born June 24, 1953 in South Bend to the late James Howard and Syble (Johnson) Parker and remained a lifelong area resident.
On May 11, 2002 in South Bend, Susan married Doug Parsons, who survives. In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by stepsons, Kevin Parsons of Granger and Jeff (Natalie) Parsons of South Bend; grandsons, Myles and Oliver Parsons; brothers, Roger Parker of Florence, AL and Jerry Parker of Sanford, FL; nieces and nephews, Rachael (Craig) Mixsell, and Erin, Steven and Amber Parker; great nieces and nephews, Jake, Kole, Sadie, Chloe, Gracie, Ivy, Clover, Scott, Ellison and Peyton; and her lifelong best friends, Cathy (John) Kampars of Niles, MI.
Susan graduated from Clay High School in 1971. She worked in sales for Lockjoint Tube and then Suzuki Garphytann, from which she retired after 15 years in 2013. Susan loved hosting parties, decorating and shopping. She enjoyed gift-giving and was always thinking of others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service for Susan will be celebrated at 10:00 am Thursday, October 22, 2015 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 - 6:00 pm Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where a time of sharing will take place at 6:00 pm.
