Virginia M. Hardesty

Virginia M. Hardesty, 76, of Walkerton, IN passed away on the morning of Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Catherine Kasper Home. Virginia was born on December 24, 1940 to John and Audrey (Miser) Taylor in Hamlet, IN. In 1959 in Plymouth, IN, she married Robert Hardesty, who preceded her in death on May 9, 1985. She was a lifelong resident of the area and worked as a Dietary Aide for Warsaw Hospital for 20 years until her retirement in 2000. Virginia was a member of the Plymouth Moose Lodge and Eagles Auxiliary, a member of Blissville Church, and attended Walkerton United Pentecostal Church.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Donna (Russell) Hardesty of Walkerton; two sons, Steve Hardesty of Plymouth and Rick (Jodie) Hardesty of South Bend, IN; eight grandchildren, April Hardesty, Ashley (Tony) Thiele, Daniel (Janey) Hardesty, Kyle (Sarah) Hardesty, Derrick Hardesty, and Anna, Trevor, Eli Hardesty; five great-grandchildren, Hunter, Giovanni, Warren, McKayla, and William; and sister, Melody (Gary) Williams of Hamlet, IN. Along with her husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Brenda Hardesty; and her brother Bob Taylor.

Funeral services for Virginia will be on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Palmer Funeral Home – North Liberty with burial to follow at Tyner Cemetery in Tyner, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, December 14 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Friday.
