Carolyn Marie Howard

Carolyn M. Howard, 80, passed away peacefully at 7:45pm on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at St. Paul’s Retirement Community in South Bend. She was born on August 8, 1936, in Ardmore, OK, to the late Howard P. and Dorothy Marie (Morgan) Senske.

On February 14, 1976 in Tiburon, CA, Carolyn married Stephen Patrick Howard, who preceded her in death on March 21, 2009. She is survived by two sisters, Fran Rini of Kentwood, MI, and Mary Corman-Schroeder of Willis, TX. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Senske.

Carolyn was employed as a case manager for REAL services. She attended St. Matthew Cathedral.

Mass of Christian Burial for Carolyn will be celebrated at 11:30am on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in the chapel at St. Paul’s Retirement Community, 3602 S. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN 46614. Rev. Terry Fisher will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00pm on Wednesday, June 28 at People of Praise, 53666 Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN and also from 10:30-11:30am on Thursday prior to the service at St. Paul’s Retirement Community. Palmer Funeral Homes—Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
