i sure enjoyed your mom in my art class at Healthwin...she really loved to paint and enjoyed drawing as well...she was so determined to create despite how difficult it was to hold the pencil or the brush...she had a soft delicate touch despite the arthritis plaguing her. What a fine and grateful lady she was. i have missed her these past couple of months and just had lunch with her last Tuesday. We chatted about the pain she has been suffering and how that kept her from coming to class....i like this description : the early Christians referred to death as falling asleep. It was the point of complete surrender into the loving arms of a loving God.
For me, i like to envision Elsie that way ...i was there on Monday before she passed and a resident told me she had just gone...May God comfort you during this time of loss.
