Mary F. Nava, 66, residing in Granger, passed away at 10:40 pm Thursday, June 25, 2015 in her home of natural causes. She was born September 4, 1948 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late W. P. and Dorothy (Hooker) Furlong.
On February 2, 1971 in Mexico, Mary married Daniel Nava, who survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Michelle Ogle of Mishawaka; son, Daniel P. Nava of Franklin, IN; and grandchildren, Joshua, Nathan and Nolan Ogle and Jacob, Charles and Nicolas Nava.
Mary was a Spanish teacher in the Penn Harris Madison School Corporation. She loved her pet birds, traveling, reading, sneaking the occasional cookie and spending time with her grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mary will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, July 12, 2015 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services.
