Shane J. Hostetler

Shane J. Hostetler, age 63, of North Liberty, IN passed away at 2:58 PM on Thursday May 18, 2017. Mr. Hostetler was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and teacher of industrial arts in Michigan City area schools.

Shane was born on June 7, 1953 in South Bend, IN to William J. Hostetler and Gloria Mae (Larson) Helsius. He married Kristine (Steere) Hostetler on July 4, 2016. He is survived by one daughter, Elisha Hostetler of North Liberty and two sons, Michael (Kayla) Hostetler of Koontz Lake, IN and Joshua Hostetler of North Liberty. Shane has five grandchildren, Molly, Jayden, Gabriel, Hylan, and Tommy. He is survived by his stepmother, Peggy Hostetler of Plymouth, IN and two sisters, Ginger (Robert) Hostetler of South Bend and Nadine Moore of South Bend. He preceded his mother, Gloria Mae, his stepfather, Raymond Helsius, his father, William J. Hostetler, and his brother Kevin J. Hostetler.

Services will be held 5pm Sunday June 4, 2017 at Porter Rae Cemetery in North Liberty. Palmer Funeral Home - North Liberty Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
