Norma Jean Bodnar

Norma Jean Bodnar, 80, passed away at 9:04 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.  Norma was born on July 28, 1932 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to the late James C. and Marie (Olsen) Jensen.  She has been a resident of Lakeville since 1991.  Norma was the former owner and operator of the Season's Restaurant in Lakeville and involved with the Lakeville Lion's Club.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, camping and cooking.

Norma is survived by her four children, Julie Bodnar of South Bend, David (Theresa) Bodnar of Lakeville, Michael (Paula) Bodnar of South Bend and Rick Bodnar of Colorado; ten grandchildren, Mandy (Johan) Edin of Arizona, Jesse (Teri) Vasquez of Goshen, Tony Vasquez of Washington, Lilly Bodnar of South Bend, Michelle Bodnar of Lakeville, Elizabeth Bodnar of Lakeville, Rachael Bodnar of Lakeville, Tim Tribble of South Bend, Zachary Tribble of South Bend, and Natalie Tribble of South Bend.  She is also survived by her sister, Christine (James) Marion of Las Vegas, NV.  One brother, Skip Jensen, preceded in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan Street, Lakeville, IN.  Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Contributions in memory of Norma Jean Bodnar may be donated to Pet Refuge, 2300 W. 6th Street, Mishawaka, IN  46544.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
