Ernest P. "Kink" Lansford, II, 59, residing in Mishawaka, passed away peacefully in his home at 12:00 am Friday, June 24, 2016. He was born November 5, 1956 in South Bend to the late Ernest Paul and Mary Jane (Doyle) Lansford and remained a lifelong area resident.

On July 17, 1982 in South Bend, Ernest married the former Michelle Cortier, who survives. He is also survived by sons, Ernest Paul (Michelle) Lansford, III of Granger and Brian Kyle (Heidi) Lansford of South Bend; six grandchildren; and siblings, Larry Wayne (Pam) Wolfe, Mitzi Edwards, Wanda Lansford, Hazel (Ron) Bokon, LuAnn (Gary) Allison, Melody (Larry) Sikoroski and William Lansford. He was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Glassman.

Ernest worked as a machinist in the aviation industry. He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed boating, traveling, road trips and playing the guitar. But mostly, Ernest loved his family and will be greatly missed by all.

Anatomical donation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
