My memories with your mother go way back. Your dad and my husband Charlie taking turns driving to work together and dropping Debbie and Cathy at Adams. Jean and I delivering Meals on Wheels, walking at the mall, stopping for coffee and a donut on our way home, going to Indian Guides and more. Please accept my condolences to Steve, Debbie and Gary.

Dear Gonter Family,

We were so sorry to learn of Jean’s passing. She and Ed have been long time friends of my first wife Barb and me, and now Barb has been replaced by Norma.

We have done so many things together, and now it’s nice to reflect on some of them. For many years it’s been attending the summer Sunday concerts in Potawatomi Park. Then in these “later days,” thanks to Jean’s idea, that’s grown into our year-round “Sunday Suppers” every three weeks or so. Barb was a “charter member” of the “bridge club,” along with Jean. In earlier years there were many multi-couple trips–weekends in various places, many of them in Chicago, extended trips to Alaska, the Gaspe Peninsula, the Canadian Maritime Provinces, Door County, Wisconsin, etc.

Jean and Ed have been such an integral part of these many activities. Of course, we’ve been missing Ed from the group for a while, and now we’ll certainly miss having Jean with us!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
