Margaret S. (Sherland) Aldrich

Margaret S. Aldrich, 92, residing in LaPaz, IN passed away on October 22, 2016 at 10:42 p.m. in her home.  She was born August 22, 1924 in LaPaz, a daughter of the late Lawrence F. and Elsie (Kuskye) Sherland, and has lived in LaPaz most of her life.  She also lived in Tucson, AZ for nine years and returned to her hometown in 2007.

On January 20, 1951, in Bremen, IN she was united in marriage to Billie LaMar Aldrich.  They enjoyed 41 years of marriage until his passing on October 5, 1992.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Nethercutt; her son, Mark Aldrich; two sisters, Ella Mae Ayres and Dorothy Reese; her brother, Bob Morrison and a son-in-law, Steven Foraker.

Margaret is survived by her children, Frank Nethercutt and Glen Nethercutt, both of LaPaz, IN; Billie Lynn Foraker of Benson, AZ; Fletcher (Martha) Aldrich of Clovis, NM; and Nancy (Victor) Densmore of Tucson, AZ.  Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; her sister, Clara Dean Maxson and her brother, Fletcher Sherland.

Mrs. Aldrich was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion in LaPaz.  Contributions in memory of Margaret Aldrich may be offered to American Legion #385 Ladies Auxiliary, 100 S Randolph Street, LaPaz, IN 46537.  Palmer Funeral Home – Lakeville Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be sent to the Aldrich family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
