Richard John Myers

Richard John Myers, 48, of South Bend, IN passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at his home.  Rich was born June 12, 1968 in Chicago, IL to John M. and Wanda J. (Jurkowlaniec) Myers.

Rich is survived by his fiancé, Sally Riggs of South Bend; his daughter, Meckinzie Smith-Myers and his son, Ryan Smith-Myers, both of South Bend.  He is also survived by his father and stepmother, John and Kathy Myers of Rosemont, IL; sisters, Cassandra (Joseph) Radd and Stephanie Myers, both of Rosemont, IL; and his brother, Joseph (Mary) Myers of North Carolina.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Myers on August 8, 2015.

Rich graduated from Ivy Tech and Culinary School and was an Executive Chef at Riverside Terrace in Mishawaka.  He also enjoyed working at the Louvered Door in South Bend.  Rich was an avid bowler on Wednesday evenings at Strikes & Spares, was a huge Chicago Bears fan, and always enjoyed camping at Fuller’s Camp Resort in Buchanan.  He loved playing with his children.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel; 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN.  Prayers will conclude services at 7:00 p.m.
