Amy and Rob,
We were sorry to read about the passing of your Dad, Bob Bartels. It has been a few years since we had visited with him. Actually the last time we saw your Dad was when your Mom died. We are sorry for your loss and send to you our deepest sympathy. Many years ago we all skied at Vail, CO. We thought a lot of your parents and your Grandparents and know that they will be missed. To you we send our deepest sympathy and prayers. Dottie and TomArnold

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr Bartles! He was a great man who made Martins a wonderful place to work! I remember working at Martins from 1983-1990 and I have such wonderful memories! I remember the holidays helping to cater their holidays parties with Ginger Richardson and what a great family! May God bless the Bartles family!!

The legacy of Bob, Nancy, Martin and Jane, is evident in the generations that follow. We are so sorry for the loss, and so very grateful for the opportunity to know each of them. Every encounter with Bob was an opportunity to learn something. He had the ability to impart wisdom and encouragement with just a few words. I'm sure your memories of him will comfort you in the days and years to come.

To the family of Bob Bartels, on behalf of Bob's Omega Chapter fraternity brothers of Pi Kappa Phi, I express my deepest sympathy. With great sadness, I read of Bob's death. As written in his obituary, we do remember his brilliance, wit and wisdom as our Archon. On the lighter side, I do remember that he was indeed "careful with resources" when 30 or so years ago I tried to talking into converting a part old Drewry facility into a micro brewery. God bless all of you!

I have known Bob for over 35 years.

During this time I've never known anyone to combine integrity, sense of humor, intellect, and courage like Bob. Our community will truly miss him.

To the Bartels Family: So sorry to hear of your Father's passing. One of the things I remember about Mr. Bartels, is that each year he would visit the stores over the holidays, not just to make an appearance, but to visit with the employees and shake their hands-what a wonderful man! Martin's is an exceptional company and it showed thru Bob and Nancy's commitment to service and the community. Our sincere condolences the entire Bartels Family.

our prayers and best wishes to the Bartels family. He truly was a fine man. He had this great ability for making you comfortable in his presents. Even after being leaving Martin's 16 years ago, I made eye contact with him and he went out of his way to greet me. I honestly didn't believe he knew who I was among the vast number of employees, but it was the effort that I will remember.
