MISHAWAKA – Venus Hans, 93, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away on November 19, 2015 at Hospice House in South Bend, IN.

Mrs. Hans was born on September 21, 1922 in Center Square, Indiana as the daughter of the late Wilmer and Ethel (Houze) Wallick.  On February 19, 1965 in South Bend she married Neal L. Hans, who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by a son, William Powell; her brother, Donald and sister-in-law, Sharie Wallick.

Mrs. Hans is survived by a son, Rick R. Hardy of Mishawaka; a daughter, Raenelle Smith of Osceola; and two grandsons, William (Ryan) Bonney of Jacksonville, FL and Brian (Amy) Hardy of Elkhart.

Mrs. Hans was a legal secretary in Mishawaka, IN for many years. Venus and husband Neal opened Hans End Zone in the early 70’s and operated their restaurant until moving to Florida where Venus went to work for Sun Trust Bank in St. Petersburg from where she retired.

Friends of the family may call at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, Indiana from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, November 23, 2015.  A graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN at 10:00 AM Tuesday. Rev. William Bonney will be officiating.
